The happiest day of your life is a game with a really weird title and altough it’s not entirely clear what it means it most likely refers to the last day of school. Ofcourse you couldn’t just let that day pass and you steal the headmaster’s wallet as a prank but unfortunately the thing has become lost and now you must find it again or else be expelled from school.

You start your search in front of the school and even though you can go in there are plenty of places outside the school which you have to investigate as well. You will have to pick up items some of which don’t seem to have much of a use but most of them will be needed to get into places you can’t go. You can only carry two items at one time so when you need an item that you dropped a couple of screen back you will have to go all the way back there to get it. Along the way you will have to avoid things like moving benches and cards which will deplete your energy which you can luckily replenish if you find some Energy icons. The most important items to find are ofcourse the wallet but some photographic evidence that you are innocent will complete your quest.

This game is kinda weird because ingame there isn’t a single clue as to what you’re supposed to be doing. Gameplay isn’t all that either because having only two inventory slots is a cheesy way to lengthen a game. I know that there are some people who like the game and to be honest it can be challenging but to me it’s a real average puzzle game which is only worth checking if you already know the game.

This game was released for two different systems here are some notes:

C64 Released in 1985.
This actually has an infinite energy trainer which makes things a lot easier.
ZX Spectrum Released in 1985.
The graphic quality is very poor as your character takes on the color of the background making him blend in with the surroundings.
